🌈 Daily Crochet Squares – Day 25
.png)
Today’s featured square is from the Granny Square Day 2020 pattern by Sandra Gutierrez of Nomad Stitches. This joyful design is part of the Traveling Afghans project—one of the most inspiring crochet collabs out there. Each square is like a postcard from another maker’s creative journey.
I absolutely loved working this one up. The rhythm of the stitches was satisfying, the shape turned out crisp, and the use of color made it feel like a celebration. I’ve been working with a lot of white yarn lately, so this square felt like letting a little confetti fly across the crochet hook.
I'm still doing my best to stitch only from what I have on hand—so every bit of yarn I use has a story behind it. No new skeins were harmed in the making of this square. 😉

This is definitely one of those squares that makes me want to pause and imagine it multiplied across a full blanket. It’s colorful, dimensional, and textured—everything a granny square should be. This one might get revisited in the future when I’m building out a themed sampler blanket or experimenting with bold color transitions.
✅ Double Check Your Ends
Whether you’re weaving in ends as you go or saving it all for one mega session (we’ve all been there), now’s a great time to check those tails. These squares are future building blocks—treat them like the VIPs they are!
