🧶 Daily Crochet Squares – Day 26

Today’s square is part of the Traveling Afghans project, which I’ve really enjoyed pulling inspiration from. This one is Square #23, designed by Brianna Iaropoli of Life and Yarn — and let me tell you, it’s a *textural dream*.
I went back to using white yarn for this one. Sometimes, all you need is a clean palette to give your textured stitches the spotlight. I’m planning to assemble a neutral scrap blanket soon, and squares like this give me a beautiful, versatile filler with lots of dimension.
The bobble and cross weave pattern used here might look complex at first glance, but it’s surprisingly beginner-friendly. It has just the right balance of repetition and interest — ideal if you’re a confident beginner or someone who wants to stretch their stitch vocabulary a bit.

I’ll definitely be revisiting this pattern in future projects. It has a modern vibe while still working beautifully alongside traditional granny squares and motif-based blankets. If you’ve never tried combining bobbles and crossed stitches before — now’s your chance.
✅ Double Check Your Ends
Weaving in ends as you go can feel like a chore, but your future self will thank you. Give today’s square a once-over to make sure everything is tucked in neatly before it joins your growing stack!
