🧶 Daily Crochet Squares – Day 29
.png)
Today’s square is giving all the lazy Sunday vibes. It’s soft, slow, and slightly ambitious… just how I like it. This is the Crochet Puff Quilt from Sass & Stitch—a project that blew up across social media and has lived rent-free in my crafty little brain ever since.
🧵 Let’s Start Another Scrap Blanket
Is it a little over-the-top? Maybe. Is it absolutely worth it? Also yes.
This double-sided square is crocheted in two panels and lightly stuffed, making it feel like the coziest, squishiest quilted pillow—except in blanket form. Perfect for using up all those tiny leftover yarn balls you’ve been hoarding in that “totally organized” yarn bin. 😉
Each square works up to around 3 inches and uses minimal yardage, but don’t let the cuteness fool you—it’ll take a while to finish a whole blanket unless you plan it out ahead. Honestly, it’s more of a long-term, keep-your-hands-busy kind of project, and I’m here for it.

It’s square, it’s crochet, and it’s delightful. So yes, this totally counts in the “31 Days of Squares” series—even if it leans a little into quilt territory. The yarn gods will allow it.
✅ Double Check Your Ends
Weaving in the ends might feel like a betrayal on a project this soft and puffy, but trust me—if you don’t, you’ll find them sneaking out later. Tuck ’em like you mean it.
