👾 Pattern Peek: Walking Zombie Amigurumi (Before the Hook Hits)
“He’s free, he’s funky, and he might be too good to be true…” 🧟♂️🧶
I stumbled across the Walking Zombie Amigurumi while doomscrolling through spooky crochet inspo—and I’ve got questions.
- Is he as cute in real life as he looks in the photos?
- Do his limbs stay on?
- Is this little guy gonna unravel before he even gets out of the grave?
It’s time for another pattern review in two acts—because sometimes you don’t know if a freebie is fabulous or frightening until you start stitching.
💀 First Impressions
- Pattern Source: Punqa.com – Free Pattern
- What It Claims: An adorably creepy zombie with a cartoony vibe and great little details (hello, exposed brain 🧠).
- What I See: Lots of parts, vague instructions (probably), and a finished product that may or may not resemble the photos.
🧠 Why I’m Tempted
- He’s got big Halloween energy and would look amazing in a spooky shelf display.
- Pocket-sized means stash-friendly.
- There’s just something charming about a zombie with one big bug-eye and a goofy little stance.
😬 Why I’m Hesitating
- The pattern looks… basic. Not necessarily bad, just not super detailed.
- I’m already predicting a few frogged limbs in my future.
But I’m game. (Because when has that ever stopped me before?)
🧶 What’s Next?
I’ll be hooking him up soon and sharing a full review in Part 2, including:
- What I used (yarn, hook, stuffing, regrets)
- Any edits or improvements I had to make
- How the final monster turned out (and if he can actually stand on his own)
- Would I recommend it? Would I make him a friend? Would I crochet him again in neon yarn for a disco zombie vibe?
🎥 Coming Soon to a Yarn Pile Near You…
🧟♂️ Stay tuned for Part 2: The Stitch Awakens, where I bring this little creeper to life—and spill the real tea.
Until then…
🧵 Keep your hooks sharp and your monsters tiny.
